America’s Development Foundation (ADF)
America’s Development Foundation (ADF) is a U.S. nonprofit private
voluntary organization (PVO) established in 1980. It is dedicated to assisting
the international development of democracy and respect for human rights.
ADF provides technical assistance, training, and grants to nongovernmental
organizations (NGOs) building civil society in support of democracy in
countries throughout the world. ADF has experience working in twenty-four
countries in Africa, the Caribbean, Centra Americal, Eastern Europe,
Russia/NIS, and the Middle East.

Amnesty International
Amnesty International is a worldwide campaigning movement that works to promote all the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international standards. In particular, Amnesty International campaigns to free all prisoners of conscience; ensure fair and prompt trials for political prisoners; abolish the death penalty, torture and other cruel treatment of prisoners; end political killings and “disappearances”; and oppose human rights abuses by opposition groups.
