Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center is an online, full-text database covering a wide variety of hot topics, such as the Death Penalty, Gun Control, Genetic Engineering, Censorship, Endangered Species, and Terrorism. It is the electronic counterpart to the print series titled Opposing Viewpoints, published by Greenhaven Press, of which Lamson Library now holds approximately 400 separate titles. The Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center includes more than 9,000 “viewpoint” (or pro and con) articles, more than 5,000 topic overviews, nearly 6,000 statistical tables/charts/graphs, more than 775 court-case overviews, more than 1800 images, thousands of Podcasts, links to more than 2,300 reviewed and subject-indexed Web sites, and over 2 million full-text articles from more than 140 magazines, academic journals, and newspapers.
