Comments

Conversation and argument are essential to academic pursuits and Lamson Library encourages our patrons to hold those conversations online using the comment features on most every page of our site. New comments must be approved by a site administrator before they appear, but we look forward to your comments and try to publish them as soon as possible.

Please know that the following are not permitted in comments on our site:

  • Intolerance
    Actions that marginalize, belittle, or defame individuals or groups inhibit the satisfying exchange of ideas and diminish the Scriblio community as whole. The use of derogatory or demeaning language or images in reference to another person’s race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is never allowed and shouldn’t enter into an honest exchange of ideas.
  • Harassment
    Communicating or behaving in a manner which is offensively coarse, intimidating or threatening, constitutes unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors, or is otherwise likely to cause annoyance or alarm is Harassment and is illegal.
  • Spam
    Comments must be relevant to the page they appear on and contribute meaningfully to the community. Automatic filtering mechanisms are used to block spam; messages that have the appearance of spam will be deleted at the discretion of the site administrators.
