The Lamson Library and Learning Commons would like to welcome educational leaders from Pakistan to the campus this month. The Pakistani Educational Leadership Institute is in its fifth consecutive year of sharing educational initiatives with teachers and administrators from this country. We hope your enjoy your visit and make the Library part of your home away from home.
Anyone who would like some background information about Pakistan is encouraged to look at this group of Web Sites About Pakistan. Included here are links to basic profiles of Pakistan and to two online Pakistani English-language newspapers.
People may also be interested in a series of radio reports on Pakistan. National Public Radio (NPR) in the United States recently produced a series of reports on Karachi, Pakistan, as part of an “Urban Frontier” series on its Morning Edition show. The NPR website also offers a series overview.
Within the library building, the display cases feature a collection of clothing and pictures from past Institutes.
Our thanks go to Elaine Allard, JoAnn Guilmet, Gary McCool, and Steffan O’Sullivan for their contributions to the display and online resources.
