Two Rivers Printmaking Studio: Portfolio 2008

Lamson Library and Learning Commons is pleased to announce, as part of the Library Print Series, an exhibit of the Two Rivers Print Studio’s 2008 portfolio, which features work by twenty-six artist members and faculty from Vermont and New Hampshire. Each artist has contributed to this portfolio an edition limited to thirty-seven prints and six artist’s proofs covering a wide range of old and new techniques. Two Rivers Printmaking Studio is a non-profit teaching and learning workspace located in White River Junction, Vermont and run cooperatively by a group of member artists. Since April 2001, they have “sought to build interest in the art and history of prints through classes, exhibitions, and lectures by artists, curators, and collectors.”

“We are really excited to display these remarkable prints,” said David Beronä, Dean of the Library and Academic Support Services. “Normally our print portfolios are kept in our Special Collections and available for private viewing but the quality and inspiring subject matter of these prints need to be seen by a wider public, which is the reason I wanted the prints framed and on display. What a great opportunity to support the work of living and breathing printmakers in our area.”

Two Rivers Printmaking Studio: Portfolio 2008 will be on display October 26th through January 29th, Lamson Library and Learning Commons. Exhibit curated by Jen Green, Art Librarian.
