In most cases, you can read the first 25 pages of a dissertation. The "Order a Copy" option does not link to the PSU Interlibrary Loan System. To request a full dissertation go to the Interlibrary Loan Page and fill out a request form.

An online database of animal natural history, distribution, classification, and conservation biology from the University of Michigan.
Tree of Life Web Project
A collaborative effort of biologists and nature enthusiasts from around the world. On more than 10,000 World Wide Web pages, the project provides information about biodiversity, the characteristics of different groups of organisms, and their evolutionary history (phylogeny).
Encyclopedia of Life

PLANTS Database
The PLANTS Database provides standardized information about the vascular plants, mosses, liverworts, hornworts, and lichens of the U.S. and its territories.

If you need a book or article that PSU does not have you can request the article through Interlibrary Loan.

This service is free to all PSU students, faculty, and staff.

Go to the Interlibrary Loan Page.
Click on the Create Request, choose the material type you want, then fill out the request form.
Articles are delivered to your interlibrary loan account in PDF format, usually in 2-5 business days.
Books are delivered to Lamson and can be picked up at the information desk in 1-2 weeks.
