EcoLibrium: Teaching the Information Ecosystem
Helping students develop their research skills in an era of information overload, social media, and more than a few bad actors is a daunting task. Traditional research skills like catalog and database searching and citation continue to be important, but we must also address the realities of the Internet and of the ability of any individual or organization to produce and distribute information. There is no discipline unaffected by our changing information ecosystem.
The list of programs below are designed to support instructors seeking to incorporate information literacy into their curriculum. Whether you want a librarian to visit your class, an idea for an activity you lead yourself, or a research clinic experience for your students, we are ready to help.
