Not Just a Girl’s Disease Part IIIn this 60 minute presentation, Megan Kniskern, MS, RD, CEDR, teaches us that working with children and teens pose challenging problems for professionals given the wide range of disordered eating presentations and co-morbid complications. Studies, research, training, and material are primarily female focused. However, boys do get eating disorders and have different nutritional and clinical needs. Our presenter will explore different nutritional needs and treatment factors specific to boys with eating disorders. The workshop will address issues related to presentation, assessments, and dietary interventions specific to working with adolescent boys. Clinical case vignettes provided.
