To limit your search to New Hampshire government documents, use the drop down Location menu to select NH documents.
You can search NH Documents by Title, Author, or Subject. Authors are, most of the time, the agency which published the report, but sometimes documents can be attributed to single persons or contracted organizations.
If you wanted to find government documents having to do with wetlands, you might search "wetlands" as either a subject or a title search.
If you wanted to find government documents published by the Department of Justice, you could do an author search with the word "justice."
To locate an item on the shelves, you will need to identify the issuing body and the call number. For example, the government report "Solid Waste Report to the Legislature" was issued by the Dept. of Environmental Services. To find this report on our shelves, locate the Environmental Services section in the NH Documents collection. Agencies are alphabetical in order.
Items on the shelves are organized first by agency and then by call number within agency. When a report is issued over multiple years, they are listed in order by year. "Solid Waste Report to the Legislature" was issued in 2003 and 2005 and both editions will be found in Environmental Services in numerical order at 628.44 N533.
